CT-304 FLATBED CUTTER INTRO

The CT-304 Flatbed Cutter was introduced in April, 2001.

Able to cut materials as thick as .98", the machine features tangential cutting technology with a maximum down-force 5000g and work area of 47.24x35.4". The servo-controlled machine has three standard cutting heads (two tangential and one pen/swivel-drag), while a stainless-steel belt drive assures precision cutting while preventing overshoot and warp.

HEADS

The servo-controlled CT-304 machine uses three standard heads. Head A is a tangential cutter with maximum pressure 1,500 grams. Head B is a pen or swivel cutter with maximum pressure 200 grams. Head C is a tangential cutter or creaser with maximum pressure 5,000 grams.

APPLICATIONS

Applications include cutting felt, rubber, twill fabric, heavy-duty reflective vinyl, and leather and cloth. The tangentially controlled heads enable the CT-304 to cut leather and cloth with perfectly square corners. The CT-304 also cuts wetsuit rubber, twill fabric for athletic jerseys, paper for textile patterns, felt or cork for gaskets, and Sintra or PVC vinyl.

The CT-304 cuts hard materials such as hi-density, reflective vinyl for highway signs; sand blast mask for monuments and wood displays; or Sintra and PVC vinyl for contour-cut letters and graphics. It can also cut rubylith for film positives. The CT-304 even diamond scribes engraver brass. The CT-304 cuts heavyweight materials as thick as .354".

The CT-304 uses an air-suction mechanism to secure material to the table. This vacuum system allows for the quick and easy placement and removal of material to and from the device. The table is equipped with a self-healing platen surface that protects the cutter blade.

In order to cut materials thicker than 0.9843" inches, the CT-304 cuts the same file repetitively to get overlays.
