Driver Cannot Be Installed Correctly (Driver Listed as "Unspecified")
If the driver was not installed correctly, the installed driver will be listed under "Unspecified" on the computer. In this case, perform the following steps to reinstall the driver.
Windows 8.1
1. Log on to Windows as "Administrator."
2. On the task bar, click [Start], and then click the [Desktop] tile.
3. On the desktop screen, move the mouse pointer to the lower right corner, and then move it up slightly.
The charm bar will be shown on the right side of the screen.
4. Click [Settings].
The "Settings" charm is shown on the right side of the screen.
5. Click [Control Panel].
6. Click [View devices and printers].
7. Right-click on the driver for your machine under "Unspecified," and click [Properties].
The driver will not appear under "Unspecified" if the machine and computer are not connected. If the driver does not appear, turn on the machine and connect it to the computer.
8. Click the [Hardware] tab, and double-click the name of the machine being used.
9. In the [General] tab, clicking the [Change settings] button will cause the button to disappear.
If the [Change settings] button is not displayed from the start, simply proceed to the next step.
10. Click the [Driver] tab, and then click the [Uninstall] button.
11. In the "Confirm Device Uninstall" window, click [OK].
The driver for your device will still be listed under "Unspecified" at this time.
12. After completing "Uninstalling the Driver," install the driver again.
When installing the driver again, be sure to follow this steps to install the driver correctly.
If no installation driver can be found, access the Roland DG Startup page (http://startup.rolanddg.com/) on a computer connected to the Internet and download the appropriate driver.
Windows Vistsa/7

3. Right-click on the driver for your machine under "Unspecified," and click [Properties].
