Roland VP Print/Cut Machine FAQs and Utilities
VP-540, VPi-540 VP-300, VPi-300

The Roland VP series was introduced in 20070416 as a 4-color print/cut line to replace the SP line. In addition, the RS line has been introduced in 2008 as a VP but without the cutting function. The VP series was replaced by the VS series in 201009 when the VS-540 was announced.

The VPi/VP line of Roland VersaCAMM print/cut machines combine both an economical 4-ink carriage with high-performance printing and cutting. The "VPi" machines are mechanically identical to the VP machines, but they come with the latest firmware and RIPC (Roland Intelligent Pass Control) profiles with the shipment. The RIPC print algorithms allow for an increase in thruput on the VP line. Note that the VPi upgrades are also available free to VP users.
